Who knows! This Giant Bird Is Still Up To Now

Probably most people would consider the largest animal to ever float on the surface of the ground to be Ptereodactyl / Pteosaurus / Pteranodon, but there were other celestial animals in ancient times that were also gigantic.

In the world of cryptology, all of the large and well-shaped spaceships that resemble today's birds are known as thunderbirds. Unfortunately, until now many people who think that the thunderbird is a species name of a giant bird that once lived in antiquity.

From various countries, there are many mythologies or folklore and legends related to this thunderbird, such as Rocs (rocho / ruc / rukk / rukh / ruk) or a very large mythological bird or garuda which is a mythological animal believed Its existence by Hindus and Buddhists and a symbol of the state of Indonesia.

Logically, these animals must have been extinct because they only live in dinosaur era only. However, there is the most recent report revealed by an aircraft-type remote control gear man, Clifford McLure, on March 10, 2016.

He said he saw something like a huge bird that would collide with a remote control plane that operated at an altitude of 400 feet from the ground. Although McLure does not say whether it is thunderbird or not, it is widely assumed that what men see from Adairsville, Georgia, USA is a legendary, thunderbird sighting.

Surely you are also curious, right, with the facts about this thunderbird? Let's look at some facts that have been collected from the following sources.

1. The first sighting

Reports on the existence of this giant thunderbird or bird first appeared in April 1890. There were two men who said they had shot down a giant bird with wings without hair and had a crocodile-like face. Yet some other researchers just do not fully believe that what the two men had shot was thunderbird, but a kind of Pterodactyl prehistoric bird.

Due to the absence of strong evidence, the name of thunderbird is only considered a mythical animal. But around the beginning of the 19th century, a renowned Scottish biologist and author of a book called Ivan Terence Sanderson once published a photo showing a man named Dr K Campbell standing beside a bird carcass that had been preserved.
Although the photo is still being debated, but not a few who think that the image of a giant black bird is enough to prove that thunderbird really exists.

2. Appearance in the 20th century

After a long period of no mention of the Thunderbird, on April 10, 1948, some people said that they saw a very large bird fly by about 152 meters from the ground, in Overland, Illinois.

Similar reports resumed in Illinois on July 25, 1977, where two children were playing suddenly startled by the appearance of two giant birds trying to prey on them. One boy named Travis Goodwin managed to escape, but unlucky for another child named Marlon Lowe. He was wounded in the despair because of the grip of the bird. Lowe was picked up flying by the giant bird was about 3 feet, but eventually he managed to rebel and disengaged.

3. Appearance in the 21st century

In the 21st century, there is a similar report that sightings of a giant bird with a wingspan of about 4 meters long. However, some researchers doubt that the bird is thunderbird, although there are some similar reports from people around the place.

After Alaska, there are other reports coming from San Antonio, Texas and the most recent is as stated by Clifford McLure above.

4. Shape and size

In general, thunderbird has a body shape similar to today's birds in general. It has a tail, a beak, wings, 2 legs and its body is filled with feathers. But the difference lies in the greatness of his body. If measured from the wingtips of one wing to the other wing, its length reaches more than 4 meters in width as high as an adult.

While the height if measured from the tip of the beak to the tip of the tail, it can be said as high as 2 adults. Although many people say that this type of bird is already extinct or also just the imagination of the ancients and the story passed on to the hereditary, not a few who still believe in the existence of this giant bird. Some even believe that until now thunderbird is alive even though there are very few and hiding somewhere.

5. Being a sacred animal

For Indians in the United States, thunderbird is a sacred sacred animal. They believe that the giant bird is there. Even many totems and ornaments symbolize the existence of thunderbird in an ancient Indian village.

Not only Indians, Hindus and Buddhists also believe that the animal does exist and is sacred because it is a mount of a god. In addition, many are also found in some artifacts of Maya and Inca or also in ancient Egypt that shows the existence of celestial animals.

6. Thunderbird is not the biggest feathered bird

Apparently, according to research, there are still larger birds than thunderbird, namely Argentavis magnificens. The fossil of this giant animal was first discovered in the 1980s in northwest Argentina. In the report researchers, Argentavis has a wingspan of up to 7-8 meters with a height of up to about 2 meters and has a weight of about 72-80 kilograms.

From its shape, Argentavis resembles a combination of vultures and eagles. Although no one has ever known for sure, but it is estimated that the bird has a golden brown fur.
It is strange enough to hear if thunderbird is still alive or existed in this sophisticated era, but from some confessions and reports that appear, it certainly does not rule out that the animal is still there.

In fact, until now there are still many areas throughout the world that have not been touched or traced by humans. Who knows the giant bird was living in a place that has not been touched humans. Who knows?
