If in the previous article I once wrote down the writings about the strange birds and animals that still exist today, so now I want to lower the writing about strange animals of the old era. The era when there is no life as busy today, the time when there is no so-called kicaumania, hehehe.
You must have heard and read about dinosaurs. We know theories about their extinction, and you may have a theory of its own. But besides dinosaurs, it turns out a lot of weird animals of antiquity that live among the dinosaurs.
Some of the animals look like animals we can meet in zoos or aquariums today, but others are very strange and perhaps scary. Fortunately, uh ... well, they live millions of years ago and are now extinct.

Below is a list of ten strange prehistoric animals: some are like dinosaurs, some are small, and some are bigger than the average man today. Through the sophistication of equipment and knowledge of archaeologists, more and more prehistoric animals will be discovered in the future.
Dunkleosteus
Dunkleosteus is a prehistoric fish that can give us nightmares. This is one of the greatest arthrodire placoderms; An armed and steel-jointed fish, who once inhabited Earth's waters. The length of the fish is about 33 meters and weighs almost 4 tons. This creature is regarded as hyper-carnivorous as well as a predator peak. It means that Dunkleosteus preyed on all other types of animals with meat as the main menu of the meal. Although a meat eater, this creature actually has no teeth, nor is it a mouth but has a face with a beak structure on its snout. Using the plate, Dunkleosteus has a crocodile-like bite, or even a T-Rex, and is able to press 8,000 pounds per square inch on the victim. Fortunately this creature was extinct during the late period of Devonr, so it does not cause us to fear to swim in the sea.
9. Archeopteryx
Archeopteryx, often referred to as the first bird, is the most primitive bird ever known to exist. This creature lived at the end of the Jurassic period in the southern region of Germany today, at a time when Europe is simply a collection of islands. This prehistoric animal is about 1.6 meters long. Archeopteryx is small, feathery, and seemingly harmless, but it does have a wide wing and a razor-sharp teeth. He also has claws on both legs. Claws that can be grooved are also called 'killer claws'.
8. Elasmosaur
Elasmosaur lived at the end of the Cretaceous period. It is estimated the creature is 46 meters in length and weighs more than 2.2 tons. Half the length of his body is the neck, which has more than 70 vertebrae. The long neck is very important because it is the only part of her body that can be lifted out of the water. We thought the creature was a big fins, but according to the fossil found in Kansas by Dr Theophilus Turner, he had four large-sized fins. His body was accompanied by a small head that was decorated with very sharp teeth.
7. Deinotherium
Currently known as the 'elephant bergading hoe', Deinotherium is a living creature in the mid-Miocene age and destroyed around the Early Pleistocene era. Known as the third largest land animal ever, if Deinotherium stands as high as 15 meters and weighs more than 15.4 tons. This creature is almost like an elephant today, with one real difference being that the ancient elephant had a short nose stump and fangs still attached to the lower jaw, while the upper jaw was hardly like an elephant today. Deinotherium fossils are found all over the world, especially in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
6. Opabinia
Opabinia is one of the rarest fossils ever found in today's world. There are less than twenty specimens of these creatures, and archaeologists hope to find more in the future. Most known opabinia fossils are found in Burgess Shale in British Columbia. Opabinia is not what you imagine when you think about prehistoric times. The species known to live on the ocean floor has a soft body with a length of about 7 cm. They have a head with five eyes and a lower lip that jutted in. This creature also has a segmented body that ends in a fan-shaped tail.
5. Helicoprion
Known as Spiral Saw, Helicoprion lived during the Carbon period and is one of the few creatures capable of surviving during the primeval period of the Permian-Trias ('The Great Dying') ancient animal. Namuin finally Helicoprion extinct during the Triassic period. Although not many fossils have been found, archaeologists have found a tooth-jaw and jawbone. With the remainder of the relics, researchers have been making pieces in a particular form of Helicoprion. One thing we know for sure, this creature has very many teeth like a circular saw, which sticks in the lower jaw. His teeth are so much because once new teeth grow, the older teeth are forced into the middle to form a spiral. The creature's length is estimated to be about 10-15 feet.
4. Quetzalcoatlus
Quetzalcoatlus is referred to as one of the greatest creatures, possibly even the largest ever roaming the earth. Its name comes from a reference to the Aztec God, Quetzalcoatl, known as the feathered serpent. Known as living in the late Cretaceous period, the pterodactyloid pterosaur is the Heavenly King, with its wings stretching 36 meters long and nearly 32 feet tall. This creature has a very pointed beak, which is used to gather food, even though it is not toothed. The fossilized creature was discovered and collected in Big Bend Park in Texas in 1971. It says, while on the ground, the animal is a four-legged animal, but it can fly.
3. Dimorphodon
Dimorphodon is a medium size of pterosaur during the early Jurassic period. The fossil was found in Lyme Regis, Dorset England, in 1828. The name pterosaur comes from the Greek word meaning "two-form teeth". It was Richard Owen who gave the name to the creature. Dimorphodon has two types of teeth in the jaw, which are rare in reptiles. If the dimophodon stands, its height is about 3.3 meters, with a small but large head neck, and has a wingspan of 4.6 meters wide.
2. Jaekelopterus
Jaekelopterus fossils were first discovered in the Klerf Lagerstätte Formation of Willwerath near Prüm, Germany. Jaekelopterus is one of the largest arthropods found so far. Jaekelopterus length 8.2 meters and live in freshwater lakes and rivers .. Though exact measurements are not found, scientists have made measurements on chelicera, which is a claw in front of the head with a function to hold food, and from chelicera that then appears Estimate the actual size of the creature. The chelicera itself is 18 inches long.
1. Hallucigenia Hallucigenia
Hallucigenia fossils were first discovered in British Columbia, Canada, and more recently in China. The name Hallucigenia comes from Simon Conway Morris, the first to study the specimens that Charles Walcott had discovered. The name comes from this strange picture of this creature. Hallucigenia has seven tentacles on each side of its body, and three pairs of tentacles on the back.
